Micki just loves to fly! Her passion for small planes began 39 years ago at age 17, in her dad's 1941 Taylorcraft. She takes great pleasure in teaching students of all ages, including aviation enthusiasts of 14-16 years of age to a grandma of 70 and a retired engineer of 75. She maintains that no one is too young or too old to learn to fly! Micki enjoys adventure-sailing with her awesome husband of 35 years, has two great sons and daughters-in-law, and two fantastic grandchildren.Nate Larson - Instructor
I have been in love with aviation since I was a little boy watching DC-3's land at the local airport with my dad. I learned to fly in the late 80's while in the Marine Corps in San Diego. I currently enjoy work as a supervisor at Kansas City Center. A few years ago, my wife Tanya and I finished our RV9, and we have enjoyed many long distance trips in it. I really enjoy sharing my love of flying with my students, and anyone else who will listen. I look forward to continuing my journey in aviation education at Gardner Flight School. Hi, I grew up just west of Wichita, Ks on my parents small farm. When it came time to go to college, I spent several long boring semesters at Wichita State in Mechanical Engineering. If I was ever going to make it through college, I needed to find an exciting subject that really inspired me to learn more. So I started flying lessons at K-State in 1999, during my first lesson I caught the aviation bug and I caught it bad. After graduating from K-State in December of 2002, I completed the Air Traffic Control Training Program in Eden Prairie, Mn. which led me to the Gardner area. I currently work as an Air Traffic Controller at Kansas City Center, and after talking to airplanes all day I can't wait to get off work to fly with my students at Gardner Flight School. When I'm not working or flying, I'm usually at home with my wife and daughter riveting together pieces of my RV-7. I've accumulated some 1400 hours of total time with most of it as dual
instruction given. For me, my pilots license has been a rewarding and never ending license to learn. Brian Biller - Instructor
As a young child, growing up on an Air Force base only fueled the desire that I already to fly. My love has always been to fly with the birds! To that end I went to Central Missouri State University and earned a degree in Aviation Technology Maintenance Management while learning to fly. After graduation I took some time off from flying to help my brother start a painting business. Several years later, with the support of my wife, I decided to climb back into the air and became a Certified Flight Instructor. As an instructor I get excited to show students how much I love to fly and teach. There is no greater joy than seeing my students succeed.Joel Beyer - Instructor
